Introduction

Welcome to the forefront of artificial intelligence innovation! In this guide, we delve into the dynamic realm of AI tools that are reshaping the landscape of text, image, and video generation. As technology continues to evolve, so does the potential for these tools to revolutionize the way we interact with and create content.

From sophisticated conversational agents like ChatGPT to visionary creators such as Claude and Gemini, this document serves as a curated introduction to some of the major players in the AI ecosystem. Whether you’re a content creator, a curious explorer, or a tech enthusiast, our aim is to provide you with insights into the capabilities and applications of these cutting-edge AI tools.

I’ve categorized the featured platforms to cover a spectrum of creative domains, including text generation for natural language processing, image synthesis for artistic expression, and video creation for immersive storytelling. While not exhaustive, this guide spotlights key players in each category, offering a glimpse into the possibilities that AI unlocks in various creative fields.

Embark on a journey through the virtual realms of AI creativity, where algorithms weave words, images come to life, and videos unfold with the touch of artificial intelligence. The future of content creation is here, and this guide is your passport to exploring the limitless potential of AI-driven innovation.

I’ve complied a sampling of different types of AI tools. I’ve broken them down into categories that I hope make sense. I’ve also added icons to describe some limitations of the tools.

  • (throttled) - the service limits the amnoutn of content generated
  • (watermarked) - the service adds some sort of watermark
  • (restricted) - access is restricted, see details

To compare these services, I used the following prompt:

Midjourney

Unlike the other services, Midjourney only allows you to generate 25 images before you have to subscribe. It’s not throttled like some of the others, you get 25 images and that’s it. Also, instead of using a web page to generate the images, you need to use Discord. There are ways of making the images private but by default, they’re shared with the public.

Video creation

To compare these services, I used the following prompt:

Create a video trailer for Vagabond, an immersive tabletop roleplaying game set in a vast and dynamic science fiction universe. In this game, players will take on the roles of diverse characters navigating the complexities of space, technology, and the unknown. Whether you’re a seasoned roleplayer or just stepping into the realm of science fiction RPGs, Vagabond RPG offers an exciting and rich experience.

Invideo AI

Sora from OpenAI

Sora is not yet released.

Synthesia

This service allows you to create a video of an digital avatar reading a script you provide. For the demo, you’re limited to 200 characters. I tried the following prompt and was told “Your video Your AI video was moderated for violating our Inappropriate Language guidelines”:

Vagabond is an immersive tabletop roleplaying game set in a vast and dynamic science fiction universe.

RISEN framework

One particularly useful tool for AI content creation is the RISEN framework from Kyle Balmer. RISEN stands for role, instruction, steps, end goal, and narrowing. Here is an example using this framework:

  • R: Act as a professional copywriter and write me a blog article about yoga.
  • I: Write me a blog artible about yoga.
  • S: Start with a really interesting hook to grab the attention of the reater. Give me 3 main body points each with examples and finish on a strong call to action which will get people to subscribe to a newsletter.
  • E: This blog article is aimed at intermediae yoga practutionsrs who are looking at getting better at yoga.
  • N: Make the blog article between 500 and 750 words. Do not use overly flawed language. Make sure to use human sounding language.
